Things not seen everyday

It looks like I have now arrived at the point at which it is impossible to go for a even short stroll through Camden Town without finding at least a few new street art piece worthy of capture. I see new works everywhere, and this afternoon was no different. A particular highlight to the afternoon was watching Void and Petyka finish their latest works under the bridge at Castlehaven Road (you can see Rough’s spray cans in my photo).  I will start uploading more of the things that I find around the city to my Instagram. Please follow me for more content like this.

  1. I’ve got a question, a rather stupid one as I don’t reside in UK. Is it legal for street artists to paint on empty walls? Is there restriction on what you can paint? It’s largely illegal in US unless it’s private property. We call it graffiti here. Excuse my appalling ignorance. 🙂 Thank you.

    1. Hi, Provided they get permission from the owner of the wall then they can paint, otherwise, it’s illegal.
      Thanks,

      1. That’s amazing. Thank you for responding. I wish we had more of that here. People here, especially in the suburbs are so obsessed with cleanliness and uniformity that any display of ‘art’ is a ‘problem’.

Discovering street art is such a treat. Some is so good it’s a shame it isn’t more lasting.
