Of all the countries I’ve visited in the last few years, the place that has left the most impression is without doubt the Puglia region of Southern Italy. Effortlessly beautiful, this part of the world is home to a welcoming and generous people, outstanding Italian food and an amazing history. With time spent in the towns of Bari, Monopoli and Alberobello, I can honestly say that it’s one of my favourite places on the planet. In Puglia, I was introduced to the lemon liqueur, Limoncello, the deep-fried-calzone delicacy, Panzarotti and I drank the best cappuccino that I am sure I will ever drink in this life. It is only a matter of time before I return to the region, taking along several empty suitcases in order to relieve every grocery shop and deli of their bread, cheese and wine supplies.
Food sounds gorgeous! Lovely photos too.
It looks like a beautiful place to be! So peaceful and perfect!
